Years ago, only women used to wear jewellery. But now times have changed. Men have become more fashionable than before and consequently men’s jewellery has also gained popularity. Many of the trends, such as men wearing necklaces, are originated by the stars. Over the last few years, most of the male stars are involved a kind of a movement, wearing jewellery such as necklaces. Some stars even have a huge fan following. Whatever they do, people follow them blindly. This includes wearing jewellery and necklaces.

The stars are popular in all age groups, right from the little kids to the sophisticated older man. The material and design of men’s necklaces varies according to the choice. Generally, older people are interested in wearing sober necklaces as compared to younger generation of men. Men’s necklaces can be made from different materials used in making jewellery, such as platinum, gold and silver.

Previously, most men felt that wearing jewellery such as necklace was a symbol of ‘unmanliness’. They were in a habit of limiting themselves to wearing only wrist watches and they too were very simple and plain. However, recently male stars have started wearing fancy necklaces over a necktie. And this has made the necklaces so popular amongst men that almost every third man can be seen wearing a fancy necklace.
